Reflecting Faith through Visual Arts

A workshop for beginners or experienced artmakers, the time will be spent delving into the word of God and reflecting in a choice of drawing, painting or collage. Your facilitator, Jennifer, is an experienced artist and teacher who is passionate about being made in the image of a creative God.

Book of Faith

Using a series of guided techniques, this workshop will allow you to reflect your faith in a folded hand made book. It is a workshop for anyone with a little skill and beginners are welcome. Young attendees may like to work with a parent as some stencil knives are involved.

Creative Church Workshop

This workshop is built around the joy of being collectively creative and building depth into worship. Working individually or in groups, the workshop will be a time to make an artistic response to God, as revealed in the Bible through Genesis. The resulting pieces can then be exhibited to the church community. Some of the workshop details may vary with the site or group, for example: paper painted scrolls or sticks, woven mural or painting series.

Incense Prayer Workshop

This workshop is built around Jennifer’s artwork series on prayer. The workshop allows for bringing creativity and depth into corporate prayer and worship through watercolour and collage. Resulting pieces will be threaded together to become an instillation for your church site. Some of the workshop details may vary with the site or group, for example: paper could be collaged or made into scrolls if hanging is not possible.
